covid-19 precautions & Protocols

The health and safety of our students, their families and our staff remains our number one priority.
Our programs have been restructured to accommodate current public health orders.
Some of the changes made by Creative IQ to keep our staff and students safe, and
to comply with public health orders and OST guidelines can be found below.

IN-STUDIO PROTOCOLS:
  • We recommend that all students and everyone ages 2 and over wear well fitting face masks that cover their mouth and nose while inside the art studio. The current SFDPH public health order states: "Based on current health conditions and balancing those considerations with acknowledgement that there remains ongoing risk to vulnerable populations and the potential for future surges, this Order transitions face covering guidelines to an individual risk-focused approach.  In this Order the Health Officer recommends that individuals wear a Well-Fitted Mask in indoor public settings based on three factors.  First, you should consider your own risk tolerance.  Second, you should consider the overall level of community transmission, such as when future variants occur (e.g., the higher the rate of community transmission, the more seriously you should consider wearing a mask in indoor public settings).  Third, you should consider whether you or someone with whom you work or live is at risk of severe disease. "
  • Parents should screen their children for signs of illness BEFORE drop off each day using the Parent Guardian Health Check Handout attached below.
  • If a student is not feeling well, shows any signs of illness, or if they answer yes to any questions in the Parent Guardian Health Check Handout, the student should stay home and should not enter the Art Studio.
  • If a student has been in "close contact" with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, the student should stay home and seek advice from a medical professional (as described in the Parent Guardian Health Check Handout attached below).
  • Students, staff, or any person who exhibit signs of illness as outlined in the Parent Guardian Health Check Handout attached below, or who answer "yes" to any of the questions listed in the Parent Guardian Health Check Handout, are not permitted to enter the Creative IQ Art Studio.
  • Hand sanitizer is provided upon entering & leaving the studio.
  • Frequent hand washing is encouraged and required for both students and staff. Two hand washing stations are provided inside the art studio. Students are asked to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds when arriving and before leaving, before and after eating or drinking, in between projects, and after touching their face.
  • Students have a combination of outdoor and indoor activities (weather and air quality permitting).
  • Daily outdoor activities take place outside in our backyard area, and students are encouraged to work outside (weather and air quality permitting). Please have students bring a jacket or warm outer layer for outdoor activities.
  • Only walking field trips to and from Golden Gate Park (2 blocks away).
  • The art studio's windows, and doors remain open as much as possible during camp hours for fresh air and ventilation inside the studio (weather and air quality permitting). In addition, the studio runs our built in ventilation fan, window box fan, room heater fan, and plug in air purifier fan to keep air circulating and ventilated.
  • Students have snack and lunch break time outside in the backyard (weather and air quality permitting). Washing hands thoroughly before and after eating and drinking is required for all students and staff.
  • We regularly clean and disinfect high touch surfaces areas in the studio.
  • Our staff has received training on the guidelines outlined for childcare facilities and OST programs in the local and state public health orders.
  • All of our staff have been fully vaccinated.

Attached below are the required forms, plans, protocols, directives, and guidance's followed by Creative IQ to help keep our students, their families and our staff safe. Please see these documents below.
